ThermaShield™ is an ultra high performance, light weight, patented triple layer thermal & acoustical shield. Typical material configuration of this product is 0.015” aluminized steel outer, 0.003” aluminum foil mid, and 0.006” stainless steel inner. Using three different materials, each with a unique thickness, unique emissivity value, and unique 1st natural frequency, provides a 750°F temperature drop across the shield at a source temperature of 1100°F. Additionally, the shield does not ring or resonate, providing acoustical damping of engine and exhaust noise.
